Journal Writing

Updated: Apr 26, 2021

Journal writing is a powerful tool. Using a journal is encouraged by many coaches. It is a way to reflect on your patterns and way of thinking. It can also be used as your gratitude journal.

A gratitude journal is where you write three things everyday that you are grateful for. It can be something big or the smallest thing - just something you are grateful for. Do this exercise for 30 days and it has been shown it will have a positive impact on your state of mind.

A journal can also be used to document ways of thinking and whether you are actively working towards your goals. It gives you the 30,000 foot view by pulling back and looking at your thinking over time. We cannot always remember what small steps we take each day - but with a journal looking back we can see how much we move towards our goals.
